The Sanch catalogue of digital
recordings features an exquisite blend of the Music of Trinidad
and Tobago with emphasis on the Steelpan. Sanch Electronix Limited
was established in 1979, and produced the world’s first
compact disc of authentic Steelband Music in 1987. Through ongoing
research, Sanch continuously refines the art and science of recoding
the Steelpan. The company’s mission is: To produce, promote
and market The Music of Trinidad and Tobago and related multimedia
products, within the global community.
Sanch is the first company in the Caribbean
to utilize HDCD® technology, a proprietary digital format
developed by Microsoft. High Definition Compatible Digital HDCD®
is a sophisticated encode/decode process which delivers the full
richness of an original microphone feed on compact discs and DVD-Audio.
The entire Sanch catalogue is displayed on the HDCD® website
under the category Caribbean Music.
Sanch’s vision is twofold. Firstly:
To be recognized as a world leader in the development of high
quality recordings of The Music of Trinidad and Tobago and related
multimedia products for commercially sustainable worldwide distribution.
Secondly: To be a catalyst for ensuring that the Steelpan becomes
internationally recognized as a mainstream musical instrument
and that Steelband Music is universally accepted as the preferred
vehicle for relaxation, rehabilitation therapy and spiritual well
being in a modern world. |
